The Chicken Coop

I am a paper crafter. I've been playing with paper, and cutting and pasting for many years now and I still just love it. I teach classes each month and would love to have you.
You can find me at MyRedHen.blogspot.com and on Pinterest
or email me at MyRedHen4@yahoo.com
I'd love to hear from you.
Every now and then I have some cards or little treats available for sale that may be seen here.
My blog also contains my personal posts. Ignore them if you like, but you may get a kick out of them. Maybe my girls will read them one day and get insights into the inner workings of an old woman's brain....Scary Thought!
There is a list of labels on the right side of the blog, so you can click there to go to only the posts that you are interested in. That will allow you to skip the personal posts and any items for sale if you wish. No matter which way you choose, I hope will enjoy my little blog and visit often.

Gifts Completed!

My pocketbook made it necessary for me to hand make the gifts for each of my girls this year and thankfully I got all three completed. I couldn't share the pictures until now, just in case one of them were to peek at my blog and spoil the surprise. For Matilda I made one of my rag quilts. A Tinkerbell themed one of course, and in her favorite color! I think she liked it. I saw a picture online of one of the wreaths that I made for Tracy. She is a great lover of books, so I was sure she would like this wreath made from book pages. I'm going to be making some of these to sell if it looks like something you might like. If it's for Christmas, it can boast a big red bow, but I didn't put one on in case it was something she wanted to hang up year round. She has decided to hang it in her office and wants a black bow added to it. Darn! Not quite finished with that one after all! And finally for Megan--I had saved the t-shirts from her cheer days with the intention of making a quilt out of them and this was the year I finally got it done. I think it turned out really nicely and I sure hope she likes it. I had also saved two of her sweatshirts which were too heavy to add to the quilt, so I made her a pillow out of those, putting one on each side.

Well that's it. During the next week, before New Year's, I plan on baking some cookies and whipping up some Muddie Buddies. Go Tonna!
