Precious Parcels

Hi All

Last night I taught a class in which we made all kinds of fun things with the Precious Parcel kit that was available as a free choice during Sale-A-Bration. 

These are two of my finished projects. The little mailboxes are made from one of the card bases in the kit. Each one holds two decorated note cards with envelope and two ghirardelli chocolate squares. Aren't they sweet?

    All four notecards are different,  but here's a pic of just one. 

It's so much fun to think outside the box and use the pieces that come in the kits into something new and different. I got a whole lot out of this kit and still have bits and pieces to play with. 

Random Acts of Kindness Day

It's Random Acts of Kindness Day today!
I realized it way too late to do something special, so I handed out one of these little treats to each of the gals at the crop I was attending.

 

I'm putting it on my calendar so that I can plan to do something extra special next year.i I challenge each of you to do the same, but most of all, I challenge us all to look for opportunities to be kind in some way each and every day.

January Card Buffet

Well Saturday was the January Card Buffet  where we featured items from the new Occasions and Sale a Bration catalogs. We had a great time creating, visiting and enjoying some valentine treats. Thought I would post some pictures of our time together.

The ladies made eight cards in the main room and a playstation was set up in the other area. This time around they got to use some of the Stamp n Blends. In preparing for the event, I used them for the first time and fell in love with them. Now I must have them and will be building a collection of them for myself a little at a time. 

The next Buffet is scheduled for June 15th when we will be introducing the new annual catalog. Save the date and join us!

Red Hen Round Up Christmas Lunch

Today was the final class of the first Red Hen Roundup and we sure sure had a wonderful time. Linda's home was decorated like a Christmas wonderland and she served up a fantastic lunch (big surprise there!) There were hot toddies as well...did I mention we had a good time. I had never had one before and let's just say--I will be having one again--delicious!

Paper Pumpkin Miracle

It is my new goal to use up as much of each Paper Pumpkin kit as I can. This is the first month I've put my nose to the grindstone and done it and I ended up making 20 A2 cards, 2 note cards, and a cute little treat pocket from the July kit. While adding only some solid carstock WOW!!!

I ended up with just a few teeny pieces left.

Curse You Peter Pan!!

Landon and Levi are being Captain Hook and Peter Pan for Halloween.
Megan tried their costumes on for the first time at my house and they immediately ran in, got up on my bed for a battle.
