I have been playing with products that I purchased last year at the Expo and decided that some of you might have fun with them as well.
That's right, today was a day to celebrate cheeseburgers. There's just nothing like a really good one!
Some of my favorites are Five Guy's, Red Robin, and Steak and Shake which is where I celebrated the day. I had never been to one until I held one of my crops at a hotel where there was one right next door. It was DELICIOUS so I of course wanted one again.
So funny story....a friend of mine was walking over and offered to get mine for me. She came back with it and the trouble began. First of all I ordered a side of baked beans which were on the menu. They informed her that they didn't sell them. They had chili beans which is what I really wanted but they didn't mention that to her. Secondly there was some problem about the onions. I don't remember what anymore and finally they charged me for my soda but did not give it to me. That was the final straw and I went marching over to complain. Once there they blamed the mix up on my friend saying she misunderstood something or other. When I got back to the crop I told her that they had thrown her under the bus and she said "That's it! Now I'm going over there!" I thought she was kidding but off she went. When she came back we took this picture so I could scrapbook it posterity.
I'm surprised we haven't been banned.
And yes.....
I am wearing pajamas. It was the New Year's Eve crop which had a Pajama Party theme. Everyone however did not participate. I'm not naming any names but the picture points out one of my non-participants.
Here's a picture of some of us who joined in.
Now...
Back to the cheeseburgers.
My friend and I obviously didn't boycott Steak and Shake after our experience. Hey, the hamburgers are just TOO good! So there we were today to celebrate cheeseburger's big day.
Here's mine. Doesn't it look delicious?
I didn’t have room on my shelf for all the cards I made this month so I began to put them away and realized I had quite a pile I decided to take pictures.
Check it Out!!
There were some I just made separately to finish things up or to take part in a challenge online.
All of these in the pictures here were generated from my classes in August.
Whew!!
I think I'm tired! But no time to sit on the couch. I still have more cards to make.
The month isn't over yet!
Okay...Let's see who's watching my blog. I have a little prize to give away. Let's see who can guess what my total comes to by the end of the month.
Whoever gets the closest wins!
This is to fill you in on one of the classes I teach each month. It is called the "Red Hen Roundup"
I hold this class in rounds, so when you sign up you are committing to the entire round. They usually run for four months and that is the case with the next one that's coming up soon. It will begin in September and run through December. The class fee is $25 each month. You generally make six cards and we make a Christmas card each month to give us a headstart at the end of the year.
Up until now these classes have only been offered to my local gals but beginning with this round I have decided to offer them through the mail. Since COVID I have been filming videos for my ladies and since I'm going to continue doing them it opens up the possibility for those of you outside the area to join in. You would receive your kit in the mail by the middle of each month. All the die cutting and stamping would be done for you. You need only follow along on the video to put your cards together. Beginning next year I am going to charge $30 plus shipping per month for these kits to go, but to kick it off I'm offering it for the $25 price and only $3.50 for the shipping charge.
Let me know as soon as possible if you'd like to join in as it is very close to time for me to begin making the kits. I'll wet your whistle by showing this sneak peek of one of the cards we will be making in next month's class. Isn't it cute! And it is an interactive card since the koala actually swings back and forth.
Come on and join the fun!
There's a new craze going around right now.....Slimline Cards.
These are tall skinny cards made the size to fit in the long skinny envelopes (I forget what they're called 😋)
The Cat's Pajamas is running a challenge on their site to make one so I thought I'd use a bit of their product and give it a shot.
The stamp set I used is #S-7859. It includes this darling bunny floating away on some balloons as well as the sentiment I used. I also used their set of dies for making peekaboo windows.
First you see them closed and then open.
