The Chicken Coop
I am a paper crafter. I've been playing with paper, and cutting and pasting for many years now and I still just love it. I teach classes each month and would love to have you.
You can find me at MyRedHen.blogspot.com and on Pinterest
or email me at MyRedHen4@yahoo.com
I'd love to hear from you.
Every now and then I have some cards or little treats available for sale that may be seen here.
My blog also contains my personal posts. Ignore them if you like, but you may get a kick out of them. Maybe my girls will read them one day and get insights into the inner workings of an old woman's brain....Scary Thought!
There is a list of labels on the right side of the blog, so you can click there to go to only the posts that you are interested in. That will allow you to skip the personal posts and any items for sale if you wish. No matter which way you choose, I hope will enjoy my little blog and visit often.

Project 365 Day 331 Birthday Class
I finally finished the second double page layout for the Birthday Class I plan on teaching very soon. This is the second double page layout to be completed in that class. I included a picture of the first in an earlier post. The class will include both layouts and at least one card. As soon as I decide how much more I'm going to include in the class I will be announcing it. Sometime very son----Keep watching!

Project 365 Day 323 Happy St. Pat's
Happy Saint Patrick's Day to everyone! My friend Tracey's favorite holiday is Saint Patrick's Day. I had pulled a picture of a topiary like this from a magazine a while back. I came across it and decided to make one for her. It turned out pretty cute and she really liked it. Perfect for her table when she serves that corned beef and cabbage!

Project 365 Day 318
Today, after dealing with a flat tire, I spent the day scrapping with friends at the Safe and Sober Crop which was held at The Grand Sierra. It was a wonderful event and I had a great time. It was just what I needed. I LOVE scrapping. I have the most incredible group of friends and I LOVE spending time with them. I spent most of the day working on my upcoming calendar class so for today I'll share a sneak peek of the cute little frog we will be making. Isn't he so cute! I like him so much that I think he needs a name. Here's a little contest for those of you who actually read this silly blog of mine. Post a comment here or shoot me an email with your name idea for my little guy. On Wednesday when I teach the class, I will announce the name I have chosen for him and that lucky person will win a little prize. May the LUCK of the IRISH be with you!

Project 365 Day 317
Today was a big day for my little family. My son-in-law Mike (or as he will always be to me---Mikey) graduated from the police academy today. It was a very proud moment, but bittersweet for me since it brings the time closer still to the day that he and my baby girl will be moving away from me to Las Vegas to begin his job. I truly don't know how I will bear it. Be prepared all of you---I am REALLY going to need my friends! The first pic is of me and my kidlets at the graduation ceremony. I've also included a picture of his badge, and the last is of me and my sweet girl at Bully's for the party afterward. (They have some flatbread pizzas there that were YUM-YUM. I definitely want to have that agin!)

Project 365 Day 316
Today's picture is of my little pink bag from Victoria's Secret. Megan and I went shopping last night and we both had to break down and buy ourselves new bras since ours were in poor shape. I am shocked these days by what we ladies have to pay for a good bra! The prices are obscene! Especially for someone like me whose entire wardrobe comes from thrift stores. So, while this little pink bag is very cute, I sure don't like what I had to shell out to get it. Let's all tell them that that can put our purchase in a plain old brown paper bag if it will help bring these prices down. Hey! I'll even bring my own!

Project 365 Day 315
Went to Tahoe today with Tracey to help clean the cabin where I got this picture of an icicle so big it formed a whole column with a huge thing that looked like waves on the ocean at the bottom. Last time we went there were incredible icicles on the house. Should have shown you a picture then. Much of the snow and ice have melted.
Tonight I'm off to the movies with my Megan. Have totally forgotten what we're going to see, but I don't care. I'm just looking forward to spending a bit of time with her. IT'S BEEN AGES!!

Project 365 Day 313
I had Matilda over for the night as I do most Mondays now and Cheryl came over with her grand daughter Taylor. I should have had my thinking cap on and taken a picture of the two of them playing, but I didn't remember until after Taylor's mom had come to pick her up for swim lessons. Matilda was tired from her busy day and fell asleep the moment her head hit the pillow. Peek-A-Boo decided to join her, so I chose that to be my picture for the day.
