The Chicken Coop
I am a paper crafter. I've been playing with paper, and cutting and pasting for many years now and I still just love it. I teach classes each month and would love to have you.
You can find me at MyRedHen.blogspot.com and on Pinterest
or email me at MyRedHen4@yahoo.com
I'd love to hear from you.
Every now and then I have some cards or little treats available for sale that may be seen here.
My blog also contains my personal posts. Ignore them if you like, but you may get a kick out of them. Maybe my girls will read them one day and get insights into the inner workings of an old woman's brain....Scary Thought!
There is a list of labels on the right side of the blog, so you can click there to go to only the posts that you are interested in. That will allow you to skip the personal posts and any items for sale if you wish. No matter which way you choose, I hope will enjoy my little blog and visit often.

Project 365 Day 275----New Class
Yes, yes I know---What has happened to my keeping up with my Project? What can I say---I got behind again and also had another tooth pulled which means the loss of some time in La-La-Land for me. A little more this time than last since this was a surgical extraction which has taken longer to heal. Anyway, I'm back and we'll see if I can't do better---No promises!
For today's pictures I will show the pictures for a new class offering. This cute little book is to keep track of all those very important dates--Birthday's, anniversaries and such. Each month has it's own page in this book, and each page is a pocket. The front of the pocket is decorated and has room for a picture or a favorite quote--Anything you want to put there. There is a pull out tag inside each pocket which pulls out to reveal the calendar for that month. I have shown some examples here. I am actually going to give you some different calendar options so that you can choose the one that will best suit your needs. The front of the book will have a place for a name and will include a couple of cute felt flowers. All materials for this class will be included. You will need to bring your basic supplies like trimmer and adhesive, but I am including an entire roll of 1/2" red double sided tape in the class fee. This is a really good strong adhesive, which is something we really need for parts of this book, so I am making sure you will have some. I am also going to include some Modge Podge in the price as well, since I think it is the best thing to adhere the paper to the chipboard in some places. The price for the class is $30. The time hasn't been decided yet, but it will probably be sometime later in February, maybe on a Wednesday evening, or a Saturday afternoon. I need some time to collect fees, get the product ordered, and get the kits made. Contact me directly to sign up and when you do, please let me know what dates and times would work the best for you.
Hope you like it!

Project 365 Day 256 Tim Holtz Class
Today's picture is of some of you girls working hard during the class on the Tim Holtz Mini Album. Thank you so much to my sweet friend Cheryl for opening her home for this class. She made it so special for us! We had plenty of room, plenty of light, and plenty of good snacks including See's candy, yummy finger sandwiches and cake for dessert. You spoiled us! Thanks so much!
I hope you all enjoy your new little albums and find something special to fill it with.

Project 365 Day 253
Okay today I took a quiz online which is supposed to tell me which co-host on The View I am most like. I had to choose the answer that most closely fit on some questions because my true answer wasn't there, but still---I came out as most like Joy Behar, with the following description of me:
What co-host are you most like?:
Joy BeharPersonality Description:
Your sense of humor is second to none. You have never met someone who you were afraid to ask a tough question to. You're always poking fun at your pals -- good-naturedly, of course. And if they don't like it? So what? Who cares? Is it just me, or is this not like me at all? I am really NOT one to ask the tough questions, but more likely to be left with my mouth hanging open when someone else does. AND---I am cut to the quick if I offend anyone or hurt their feelings, even inadvertently. The words "So what?" and "Who cares?" don't come from my mouth often. Especially in reference to other people's feelings!
I hope I have a decent sense of humor and I guess I DO poke fun at my friends sometimes, but the rest?
Oh well---Maybe I'm like none of them at all. I'm just one of a kind---Thank Goodness!!
(I do love her haircut though--It's one that I think might look nice on me if I could only do it!)

Happy New Year to December's Winner
The winner for the month of December is Vicki Wolfe. Yeah Vicki!! This is her second time winning. Leaving those comments gives you a chance to take those prizes away from her, so let's hear from you!
Project 365 Day 252
I had Matilda again for the day. Every time she's over for the night, she tells me she wants me to put her hair in "piggies." Sometimes it's one piggy, sometimes two piggies. Today I asked her if she wanted three piggies. She thought I was hysterical. It actually wasn't a great idea on my part, because she just may have taken me up on it!
Anyway---Today was a "Two Piggy Day."
Project 365 Day 251
Project 365 Day 250 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Happy New Year Everyone! I spent the day scrapbooking with friends, as I have every year for ages. I got off to a very slow start---wasn't in the mood at all, but I got some caffienne into my body and eventually perked up and actually got some things accomplished.
Then I got a call form my daughter Megan asking me to go to the $3 movies with her to see "Due Date." I did, and may I say that I laughed like a crazy person. If you saw "The Hangover" and liked it, you must see "Due Date." You will enjoy it. Too funny!

Project 365 Day 249----10,9,8,7,6
New Year's Eve has come. The year's just zip by way too quickly for my tastes! I actually had invitations this year---That hasn't happened in some time!
I began the evening by going by the home of my friend Jacque. Here she is presiding over the huge amounts of yummy food and goodies that were available. They are such an awesome family! I am so enjoying getting to know them and it feels really special to be invited to share in their celebration.
